LOUISIANA STAR broke in at the start and crowded inner rival, settled mid-pack into the first turn, roused four wide at the half-mile marker, made a sustained bid to the quarter marker then vied for the lead to upper stretch, took command into the final furlong, kicked clear into the final sixteenth, kept to task late under moderate urging. LIL HENRY hopped then squeezed back at the start, settled to the first turn, saved ground into the backstretch then advanced nearing the half-mile, kept an inside path to the far turn and was well placed nearing the quarter marker, tipped out to upper stretch, was no match late for the winner, bested the rest for the place honors. EXAGGERIFIC forwardly placed away from the start then steadied in the early stages, in tight into the first turn then shuffled back along that bend, settled to the backstretch, roused three wide into the far turn and gained ground to the stretch, could not impact the winner late, was outkicked in the final yards for second and held clearly for third. COLLECT NOW forwardly placed early, went up to contest the pace into the first turn, dueled along the inside into the backstretch, disputed decent fractions into the far turn then battled to upper stretch, could not find more into the final furlong, faded late and was outfinished for the minor awards. BIGFUNONTHEBAYOU broke alertly, was prominent to the first turn then engaged COLLECT NOW and dueled for pace duties outside of that foe into the backstretch, contested solid fractions to the far turn, took a narrow lead nearing the quarter, met the bid of LOUISIANA STAR to mid-stretch, could not keep pace with the winner into the final furlong, gave way. GALLABYE slow away from the gate then crowded a bit at the start and last away, trailed to the half-mile, was last to the quarter pole, swung out to upper stretch, passed tiring rivals late. J T TWENTY TWO settled in the second flight, tracked the decent pace three wide into the backstretch, was well placed to the far turn then came under a ride nearing the quarter pole, lacked the needed response to upper stretch, tired. BORONGAN close up in the early going, tracked the decent pace from the two path into the backstretch, lacked the needed response into the far turn, empty in the stretch drive.
