Footnotes
LORD LEROY veered in at the start and crowded inner rivals, showed speed and disputed the early pace from outside of MOUSEKETOODLE, pressed that rival through decent fractions nearing the quarter pole, held at bay into upper stretch, was stubborn into the final furlong, wore down MOUSEKETOODLE in the final sixteenth and edged clear late. MOUSEKETOODLE showed good speed away from the start, assumed early command, set a pressured pace into the turn, shook free of LORD LEROY into upper stretch then dug in into the final furlong, overtaken into the final sixteenth, grudgingly yielded to the winner in deep stretch, well clear of the rest for second. WHATDAT hopped then ducked in at the start and was off slowly, rushed up inside of rivals along the backstretch, chased the leading pair while saving ground into the turn, could not keep pace with the top two into the stretch, kept on to the final sixteenth, held for third. LOUIE LE COEUR bobbled then crowded and shuffled back at the start, settled outside of rivals along the backstretch, coaxed three wide to the quarter marker, swung to the four path into the lane, passed tiring foes late, missed for third. SARGE CUSTIVITY jostled at the start, rushed up outside of rivals in the early stages, chased the leading pair from the two to three path along the turn, lacked the needed response into upper stretch, gave way. BETRBREADY broke out at the start and crowded outer rivals to begin, settled off of the early pace, caught in tight between foes and on heels nearing the half-mile, lost position on the run to the turn, trailed to the quarter marker, kept an inside path to the stretch, no factor late. COUNT THE STARS close up to the early pace, lost ground heading into the turn, coaxed two wide to the quarter marker, lacked the needed response to upper stretch, weakened.
