Footnotes
DESERT WOLF rated in mid-pack four wide down the backside, rallied to challenge the pacesetter on the turn, dueled with that one the length of the stretch and prevailed in the final strides. CABRO TORO set the pace under mild early pressure, was engaged on the turn, battled gamely down the lane, stubbornly refusing to surrneder and was nailed in the final strides. TAKEOVER FIFTYFOUR prompted pace to the turn, failed to keep up with the top pair on the bend and finished willingly to hold the show. PURE MALICE slow early to be at the rear of the pack and showed some late mild interest. BENZODINI tracked the pace from the fence to be well placed saving ground and failed to mount a closing kick going evenly. ROULETTE stalked the pace from four wide and gave way on the turn.
