Footnotes
INFINITESIMAL went four wide on the clubhouse turn but came on to the backstretch with a slight lead, tempered the pace to the far turn, then dug in under a threat from GOBOT at the quarter pole, had plenty in reserve and opened up when roused at the top of the stretch and held clear to the wire. Z'S GUITAR showed little initiative through the first turn and tracked well behind the main pack to the half, started to run on from that point, circled the field on the far turn and finished up well to gain the place. GOBOT got pinballed at the start the pulled the rider to be up close three wide down the backstretch, stalked the pace then made a bid for the lead approaching the three-furlong pole, pulled even with INFINITESIMAL at the quarter pole, ran on well down the stretch but was outfinished. SHANKINSTINE was away well then raced in tight quarters through the first turn, dropped back and moved to the outside on the far turn and produced a grinding rally in the stretch but was unable to threaten. MOKINGS broke in and took a bump at the start, settled between horses just off the pacesetters, angled out a path at the three furlong pole to avoid getting boxed in came under a ride approaching the quarter pole but could not quicken with the top three. SHADY GRADY raced close up to the pace while saving ground to the far turn, then struggled to keep pace after passing the three-furlong pole and had little to offer in the stretch. ZION broke awkwardly to the outside and steadied at the start when MOKINGS took the path, then was unhurried from the break and settled far back through the early stages, came under a ride passing the half-mile pole but had no response and trailed the field to the finish.
