Footnotes
JOVIE G was under urging to get to the front, got floated four wide on the first turn, then went to put pressure on WABASH down the backstretch, took command leaving the half-mile pole, cleared off but three lengths on the far turn, was kept to task in the stretch, was getting a little short in the final furlong and was fully extended to hold off an outside rival. CHANNELFORTYNINE raced two wide in the middle of the pack, steadily advanced on the frontrunners late on the backstretch, bid three wide through the far turn, was slowly getting to the winner late but came up short. UNAFFILIATED slow early to be well off the leaders at the rear of the field, commenced a steady, long drive on the turn, and finished with a late gain four wide to be up for the show. OLYMPIA HARBOR unhurried from the start, settled at the back of the field for the first half-mile, then made a forward move through the far turn and finished up well, but could not find another gear when needed in the final furlong. LEMON FIZZ settled inside, saved ground to the far turn, launched a mild bid late on the turn but stalled in the stretch and lacked a finish. SIMPLICATED tucked in to the two path on the first turn, then advanced to be up close to the leaders on the backstretch, came under a stiff drive midway on the far turn and was outrun in the late stages. AOIDE was getting caught four wide going into the first turn, then backed off and angled to the rail, tracked close up down the backstretch, then was set down to go after JOVIE G on the far turn, but faltered near the quarter pole and had little to offer late. T V C ONE FIVE was close up on the inside through the first turn, then began a steady retreat before the half-mile pole and was not persevered with when hopelessly behind. WABASH made the front despite racing erratically into the first turn, was overtaken near the half-mile pole, drifted out wide midway on the far turn, then eased and galloped to the finish time and walked off. THE JOCKEY ON #8 SIMPLICATED LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST #4 CHANNELFORTYNINE ALLEGING INTERFERENCE ON THE FAR TURN, AFTER A BRIEF REVIEW THE OBJECTION WAS DISALLOWED AND THE ORIGINAL RESULT MADE OFFICIAL.
