Footnotes
TWO JET veered out slightly at the start, dueled with SCRAPBOOK to the far turn while always traveling well, bid for the lead leaving the quarter pole but found a stubborn foe, finally gained the advantage in the final yards and went clear under a hand ride. SCRAPBOOK was hustled to the lead and showed the way under constant pressure from TWO JET, was no match in the final furlong but finished well clear of the next horse. LA DEAL outpaced early, was last into the turn then rallied four wide to gain the show. PAYTON'S INDIAN bobbled slightly at the break, then went to the outside and rushed to the early leaders, caught up approaching the quarter pole, but could not sustain and was outfinished for a minor award. LADY BE GONE broke well and pressed the early pace from the inside, had nowhere to go through the turn, then tried to rally up the rail in the stretch but was outkicked and could not improve.
