Footnotes
TREATY stalked from inside, bid along the fence past the eighth pole, dueled with LATE SEPTEMBER in the final sixteenth and dug in to edge the runner-up. LATE SEPTEMBER bumped leaving the gate, raced in range between rivals, took the turn the two wide, bid between runners at the eighth pole, put a head in front midstretch, battled outside TREATY late and was outgamed by the winner. COUNTRY HIT broke inward then went to the front, took pressure from outer rival on the turn, moved off the fence at the top of the lane, led into the final furlong while being confronted by a pair of rivals to the inside, yielded to the top duo and managed to save third. YOUNG TUSCAN was closest in pursuit up the backstretch, bid two wide on the turn, could not sustain the challenge entering the final furlong, churned on down late and missed third. MAX IS G MONEY broke step slow and inward, trailed along the inside, made some progress around the turn, moved out in the lane, kept trying to the wire and missed both a minor award and the show honors at the wire. COLONEL BARTON broke in and bumped, raced off the pace two wide into the turn, moved out in the lane and was never a factor. SATURDAY'S GOLD got bumped on both sides leaving the gate, chased three deep into and around the turn and weakened in the drive.
