WANNAWHOLELOTTALUV veered in at the start partly in reaction to actions of TENSAS LUCY in the adjacent stall, rushed up to take the lead before the half-mile pole, had TENSAS LUCY a constant shadow to the outside, dueled with that foe into and through the stretch, lost the lead briefly in mid-stretch then came back on under intermittent urging to pull ahead late. TENSAS LUCY broke inward at the start then was first to the lead then gave way to WANNAWHOLELOTTALUV, was content to press that rival from the outside through the turn and into the stretch, got a head in front in upper stretch but found the rival resurgent, battled gamely to the line but was outfinished. BIEN JOUE tracked well behind the two pacesetters, kept trying to the end but was unable to close the margin. CLEVER RACE tracked in the second flight together with BIEN JOUE and was unable to threaten. TENSAS CLEAR was outrun from the break and trailed throughout.
