Footnotes
PRINCE JAMES raced close to the pace towards the outside, rallied around the turn, closed willingly and drew clear near the sixteenth pole. PREMIUM set a pressured pace, responded when challenged to duel, faltered near the sixteenth pole and finished second best. MY UNCLE LEON pressed the pace three wide, challenged for the lead entering the stretch, dueled to mid stretch, faltered and held safely for show. HELLO HOT ROD was a bit crowded early, dropped inside, raced in close, was taken back into the turn and lacked a closing response. COLONEL BARTON broke out, was taken back from between horses early, trailed the field and passed a tiring rival. HUEY DUEY pressed the pace between horses to the turn, dropped back and gave way.
