Footnotes
BERNIN TUNE edged up to the outside of PICASSO BABY around the first turn to attend the pace, vied under a light hold and poked a head in front leaving the five eighths, was unfazed while battling between runners leaving the five sixteenths, shook clear under a drive with a furlong to go, kept on under right handed asking inside the sixteenth pole and was unwavering to the wire. HE'S A FINE BABY broke outward hitting the gate and also tightening an outer foe, regrouped and moved up to be close around the first turn, sat patiently behind the trio of leaders past the five sixteenths, swung out four to five wide in upper stretch, ranged up outside the winner with a game run but denied through the final yards. GOTTA KEEP HIM hit the gate, recovered and saved ground off the pace, edged up into the far turn, eased out, awaited room soon into the stretch, worked through a seam leaving mid stretch, angled in but was out kicked. PICASSO BABY broke outward, corrected and cleared early, dropped in to secure the rail, was joined by the winner leaving the three quarter pole, sparred inside that one through the backstretch, remained a presence under firm asking from the five sixteenths to mid stretch then faded late. LITTLE DITTY , perched three wide off the leading pair, moved up and bid three deep leaving the far turn, forced the issue into the lane, failed to kick on with a furlong to go and weakened. CATHY'S BOY , forced out and in tight leaving the gate, lost ground four wide, moved up to be within range nearing the half, chased around the final turn but failed to muster up a rally.
