Footnotes
BARBADIAN RUNNER bumped by DATS MR. TAP leaving the starting gate, was patiently rated between horses on the turn, moved up in the four path at the head of the stretch, battled through the lane and determinedly prevailed. CRAB DADDY bumped DATS MR. TAP when forced out by SACRED THUNDER at the start, advanced between horses to take the lead on the turn, was hooked on his outside by the winner turning for home and fought gamely. SACRED THUNDER bore out at the start, steadied in traffic near the three eighths pole, was in hand behind horses approaching the stretch, lacked room in upper stretch, swung to the six path in mid stretch and closed late. RIGHT WING RUNNER stumbled at the break, moved up five deep leaving the backstretch, bid for the lead turning for home and weakened late. HAWKSTONE , a forward factor in the two path leaving the backstretch, moved to the inner rail leaving the turn, bid for the lead entering the stretch and gave way the final furlong. TONY ECLIPSE , a forward factor along the inner rail leaving the backstretch, steadied on the heels of SCHEDULING DUDE when that one backed up mid way on the turn, swung to the seven path approaching the eighth pole and retreated. DATS MR. TAP bumped the winner when forced out soon after the break then was not a factor. SCHEDULING DUDE sped to the early lead and was taken the inner rail on the backstretch, gave way abruptly mid way on the turn, pulled up in upper stretch and walked off. There was a stewards' inquiry but no action was taken.
