HOT STOTT disputed the pace racing in the two path and between foes around the turn and to mid stretch, led late and narrowly prevailed. BLO BY'EM , steadied in close quarters after a slow start, was shuffled back leaving the backstretch, raced along the rail on the turn, eased out for the drive, moved up in the five path in upper stretch and closed gamely outside horses after being bumped and forced out by LATIN REBEL in mid stretch. NIGHT PREACHER , rated down the backstretch, stayed along the inner rail on the turn, steadied when blocked in upper stretch then impeded outside horses when steered to the four path in mid stretch. GENERAL MAXIMUS chased the pace down the backstretch, moved up three deep leaving the turn, gained a short lead in upper stretch and weakened in the drive. WINNING TRIP hugged the inner rail, disputed the pace and weakened late. LATIN REBEL stalked the pace while two wide on the turn, swung to the four path entering the stretch and was bumped and forced out by NIGHT PREACHER in mid stretch. Following a stewards' inquiry and an objection by the rider of LATIN REBEL, NIGHT PREACHER was disqualified and placed sixth.
