FITNESS pulled her way between rivals and took a short lead lead leaving the three quarter pole, emerged in a duel off the rail and to the inside of GOLDEN AURORA leaving the half mile marker, entered the stretch in about the three path, wandered outward under repeated left handed asks, herded out and bumped when sparring with GOLDEN AURORA in deep stretch and dug in to prevail. GOLDEN AURORA moved up in hand and bid three deep heading to the five eighths, drew alongside FITNESS into the turn then got locked in battle, carried that fight four wide into the lane, remained latched on to her inner foe past the furlong grounds, was bumped and herded out by that one inside the sixteenth marker, continued valiantly and just missed. STAR VENEZUELAN broke a step slow then steadied soon after, edged up wide and under rating nearing the turn, shifted in with pursuit in upper stretch and churned on to be well clear of the rest. WHY NOT GRACE , under firm rating towards the inside and just off the leaders near the three quarter marker, eased out then was put to a ride heading to the turn, swung further out for the drive but came up empty. CRUZ CHICA led early then was hooked nearing the three quarter marker, rated back off outer foes then tracked, was well positioned stalking the duelers past the three eighths, came under pressure four wide in upper stretch, failed to kick on and weakened in the final furlong. SWEETHEART MOON broke slowly, saved ground leaving the far turn and faltered. Following a stewards' inquiry and objection by the rider of GOLDEN AURORA, FITNESS was disqualified and placed second for causing interference in the stretch.
