EDGE OF TOWN quickly cleared off in the opening strides and took to rating near the inner rail, was joined by an outer PINOTSLILGIRL into the turn then ceded command three furlongs out, remained close up while saving ground into the stretch, responded to strong handling past mid stretch, closed determinedly to regain command in deep stretch then was edging away at the wire. PINOTSLILGIRL tracked the pace under rating, bid two wide from the outside into the turn, spurted clear while under a hold mid turn, continued under confident handling past the three sixteenths, was seriously called upon leaving the eighth pole but could not withstand the winner's inner charge. SKIP THRU DA FIRE , away awkwardly, regrouped and lagged off the pace and outside a rival, was under a ride pursuing mid turn, came three wide for the drive and finished with some interest. HONOR THE TRUTH lagged off the pace while saving ground, was under asking mid turn, eased out for the drive but failed to respond.
