FASTER GATOR broke a bit slow, quickly recovered and edged up to a forward spot while five wide outside rivals, dropped in some and stalked the dueling leaders past the three eighths, circled five wide and advanced under a ride into the lane, drifted in under right handed asks and bumped with SLAM NOTION when battling outside that one leaving the furlong grounds, wrested command with about a sixteenth to go and edged clear late. SLAM NOTION , quickly to the front, drafted in towards the inner rail then was joined by an outer LITTLE BIT RISKY near the half mile pole, dueled around the turn, entered the lane two wide then dug in when confronted by the winner leaving the three sixteenths, was bumped soon past mid stretch, fought on past the sixteenth pole then gave way grudgingly. CHANGE MY WORLD , four then three wide stalking between runners early, shifted in and chased around the turn, edged up along the inner rail in mid stretch then flattened out. LITTLE BIT RISKY , fractious in the gate, was away slowly, regrouped and moved up between runners in the opening furlong, joined SLAM NOTION from his outside near the half, dueled around the turn, raced three to four wide between runners into the stretch then weakened in the final furlong. CHESAPEAKE DREAM drafted back off the pace, raced three wide in upper stretch but failed to kick on. BLANCHES MULE flashed speed then bumped with an inner rival nearing the half mile marker, dropped back under a ride mid turn, shifted out for the drive but failed to generate the needed response. SHOOTERSGOTTASHOOT saved ground, bumped with an outer foe nearing the half and failed to get involved. An objection by the rider of SLAM NOTION against the winner for alleged interference in the stretch was not allowed.
