MIDNIGHT RENEGADE saved ground on the turn stalking the pace, swung to the five path in upper stretch, angled back in in mid stretch, closed inside LAST SECOND LOUIE, gained the lead near the eighth pole and edged clear. LAST SECOND LOUIE brushed with WHISKEYINTHEJARO leaving the starting gate, chased the pace outside TOUGH WORKOUT, drifted to the five path when taking the lead in upper stretch and gave way grudgingly. ADMIT NOTHING lacked speed, stayed near the inner rail throughout and rallied. MOTSKARI bore in at the start, lacked speed, stayed along the inner rail on the turn, swung off the rail in upper stretch and rallied between horses. BOOSTER SHOT chased the pace, swung to the six path in upper stretch and gave way. WHISKEYINTHEJARO brushed with LAST SECOND LOUIE at the start, raced in the two path entering the stretch, angled out in upper stretch and was not a factor. PRINCE OF PORTLAND , steadied when pinched back leaving the starting gate, moved up four deep on the turn, drifted to the six path turning for home and weakened. TOUGH WORKOUT made the early lead, set a pressured pace along the inner rail and faltered in upper stretch.
