MALIBU HOOCH prompted the pace outside GREAT ANDREI, overtook that one approaching the eighth pole and drove clear. GREAT ANDREI sped to the early lead and was taken to the inner rail, remained along the rail setting a pressured pace, failed to hold off the winner but gamely held the place. SHKHARA FIRE stalked the pace three deep on the turn, drifted to the four path in upper stretch and offerred a mild rally. NOT TOO LATE stayed along the inner rail around the turn, moved to the three path in upper stretch and lacked the necessary rally.
