Footnotes
CAN DO , nicely rated along the rail the opening quarter mile, moved up to take a short lead near the three eighths pole, went clear leaving the turn, drifted out in upper stretch and held sway under brisk urging. STAR VENEZUELAN stalked the pace three deep around the turn, drifted out in upper stretch and finished willingly. WHY NOT GRACE lacked speed, remained along the inner rail throughout and passed tired foes. GOLDEN AURORA , under coaxing two wide on the turn, swung to the four path turning for home and was outrun. THUNDER IN PARIS set the early pace outside the winner, failed to keep up turning for home and tired.
