Footnotes
BY THE GLASS stalked the pace, saved ground around the turn, remained near the inner rail in upper stretch, swung out near the eighth pole, closed determinedly and was up approaching the finish. GILDA'S GIRL assumed the early lead in hand, was kept well off the inner rail throughout and gave way grudgingly. AUDIBLY lacked speed outside horses down the backstretch, circled the turn four deep, floated to the six path entering the stretch and passed tired rivals. RIBBONSINHERHAIR stalked the pace outside horses, was four wide leaving the backstretch, circled the turn three wide and weakened. LACHICAFORTEQUILA , between horses entering the turn, swung to the five path at the head of the stretch and was not a factor. VOODOO PRIESTESS advanced along the inner rail leaving the backstretch, checked in tight quarters entering the turn and failed to recover.
