JOHNNYFRENCHFRI was nudged clear soon after the start, set the pace under a light hold near the inner rail, was guided out a path and put to strong asking soon into the lane, spurted away past the three sixteenths, kept on under strong handling past mid stretch and dug in late to fend off B WEST. B WEST edged up inside rivals nearing the turn and stalked, eased out under a ride nearing the lane, straightened away and closed gamely through the final furlong. SUNSET TOWN , two wide between rivals stalking the winner, was under a hearty ride past the five sixteenths, shifted out to about the four path in upper stretch, churned on and nabbed the show in the final jumps. THE BULLION BOMBER (IRE) , off slowly when having his head turned at the break, regrouped and reached contention while four wide and in hand into the turn, tracked under rating past the three eighths, shifted in towards the rail entering the stretch, made a mild run near mid stretch then flattened out. CACTUS , three deep stalking the pace, was fanned five wide while under a ride entering the lane, failed to kick on past the three sixteenths and faded. GOTTS GOT IT hopped in the air at the break and lost his rider. There was a stewards' inquiry into the start of GOTTS GOT IT. No action was deemed necessary.
