SLAM NOTION sped to the early lead then was soon engaged from his outside by MISSED THE TURN, sparred with that one into and around the turn, briefly lost the lead near the quarter pole, battled back and wrested command inside the three sixteenths, drifted out a bit and eagerly pulled away under strong handling. MISSED THE TURN quickly moved up and joined the winner in the opening sixteenth, stayed latched on into and around the turn, poked a head in front with a quarter to go, could not quite match strides while floated out a bit leaving the three sixteenths but stayed on with gritty effort to be well clear of the rest. TOJO'S MOJO stalked the dueling leaders while outside a rival, crept closer under a ride mid turn, circled four wide into the stretch, failed to kick on in mid stretch and faded. WHERE'S MY CHEW , bumped at the start, edged up saved ground pursuing the embattled leaders, was pushed along mid turn and came up empty. BANGKOK BOB , bumped at the break, eased back off foes near the half, was scrubbed on around the turn but failed to respond.
