BERKS broke well and was taken to the inner rail entering the first turn, remained along the rail setting a pressured pace, opened up on the far turn and was under brisk urging in the stretch. WALK AWAY JOE saved ground around the first turn, eased off the rail leaving the backstretch, raced five deep entering the stretch and rallied. SOUTHERN DISTRICT lacked speed, swung five wide leaving the far turn and had a slight rally. FORMAL ORDER remained along the inner rail, stalked the pace to the stretch and passed tired rivals. HORNBEAM lacked speed, was caught in traffic in upper stretch and split horses late. TOAST TO COAST prompted the winner to the far turn and tired. SPEARGUN broke slowly, circled the first turn three wide, chased the pace, tired and drifted out entering the stretch. DAREDAVITE was outrun. RHUMJAR lost ground on the turns and gave way.
