ASCENDANCE lacked speed, hugged the inner rail leaving the turn, remained inside foes in upper stretch, swung outside in mid stretch, closed determinedly and was up at the wire. TOWN'S WARRIOR circled the turn three wide, gained a short lead in mid stretch, went clear near the sixteenth pole and just missed after drifting out in the late going. GET LIKE MIKE lacked speed, swung wide leaving the turn, angled in near the sixteenth pole and rallied inside the top pair. TOUGH WORKOUT prompted the pace outside BANDITSGOLDENCHILD and weakened through the stretch. SUPER NEEDY bore out leaving the starting gate and passed tired foes. BANDITSGOLDENCHILD sprinted to the early lead, hugged the inner rail and gave way. NOBLE FISH was outrun. LEONIDS chased the pace and gave way. PARKERNESS chased the pace and faltered.
