STATES UNITED was nudged up to join the pace fray leaving the chute then emerged in a pace battle to the inside of GREY FLANNEL BOSS, shook clear under some asking nearing mid turn, was guided well off the rail in upper stretch, kept on under strong handling past the furlong grounds and denied an inner threat from TETCHED. TETCHED tracked the contested pace three wide, edged up to loom past the three eighths, shifted in leaving the quarter pole, loomed inside the winner past mid stretch, couldn't quite make inroads through the final sixteenth but stayed nicely. BETTA GO GO GO , bumped at the break, regrouped and was taken to rate outside a rival, angled out mid turn, circled four wide with pursuit into the stretch and kept on with effort while gaining the show. GREY FLANNEL BOSS had speed and dueled on a short lead outside the winner through the opening three furlongs, saw that one clear exiting the far turn, dropped back a bit chasing between runners nearing the stretch, found more inside the furlong grounds and grittily cut back into the margin. FLUFF THE PILLOW bobbled at the break, regrouped and moved up while saving ground past the three quarter pole, was under a hustling ride sneaking through along the rail mid turn, remained a presence to the three sixteenths, failed to kick on and faded late. TRUE FAITH broke outward bumping a rival, rated back soon after, saved ground off the pace, angled out for the drive but failed to menace. MAX BARLEY , jostled at the break, dropped well off the early pace, raced removed from the rail in upper stretch and failed to get involved.
