BLESSED CANDY , within range and under a hustling ride chasing a three to four ply pace scrum leaving the far turn, shifted out and edged up four wide into the stretch, worked through between runners leaving mid stretch, took over to the inside of FAIR TRADE then cleared a sixteenth out, was flashed the crop and held firm under a steady hand ride. FAIR TRADE tracked the embattled leaders while four wide near the half, bid between foes soon after, vied three deep leaving the five sixteenths, wandered out to about the five path entering the stretch, briefly shook clear under a drive nearing the eighth pole, failed to contain the winner's inside charge, gave way grudgingly and narrowly saved the place with a good bob. ISLAND DREAM GIRL , five deep prompting the pace leaving the far turn, came six wide with pursuit of the leading trio in upper stretch, switched over to her left lead inside the furlong grounds and kept on with effort while just missing the place. GAGA'S HAMSOME broke slowly, raced off the pace and off the inside leaving the far turn, angled six to seven wide advancing into the lane, straightened to pursue past mid stretch then flattened out. VIEUX CARRE broke a step slow, saved ground leaving the far turn, angled out mid turn, entered the lane about three wide, shifted out for the final furlong and churned on. FITNESS , off the heated pace, saved ground nearing the lane, angled out and offered a mild run. CAN DO had speed to the inside of foes and took a slim early advantage, was hounded into and around the turn, clung to the lead under a ride approaching the stretch, could not fend off outer threats leaving the three sixteenths and weakened. ON A PROUD NOTE bobbled at the break, hustled up soon after and bid between foes, sparred into and around the turn, stayed on willingly past mid stretch then faded in the final sixteenth. FEROCIOUSNESS , three deep vying for the early lead, failed to keep pace leaving the three eighths pole and faltered.
