THE GATEKEEPER cleared early and set the pace three then two wide, was joined from his inside by MOTSKARI nearing the turn, vied under a ride and between foes approaching the stretch, lost the lead soon into the stretch, fought back between horses while steadily hand ridden through the final sixteenth and got back up in deep stretch to prove best. MOTSKARI edged up leaving the chute then prompted from the inside, slipped through towards the inner rail and joined the winner into the turn, sparred inside a pair of rivals while coaxed along leaving the three eighths, briefly shook clear in upper stretch, was re engaged near the sixteenth pole, switched over to his left lead and gave way grudgingly. FORMAL AFFAIR prompted the pace outside the top pair, bid three deep mid turn, vied four wide soon after, stayed on as the leader cleared nearing mid stretch then came back on to just miss the place. THE HEIGHTS broke slowly, recovered and sped up to reach contention after a quarter mile, stalked the leading trio mid turn, was under a hearty ride nearing mid stretch, failed to kick on and faded late. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE , off the pace while saving ground, angled out in upper stretch, brushed with an outer rival leaving the three sixteenths then came up empty. GET LIKE MIKE , bounced around between rivals at the break, regrouped and settled off the early pace while five wide, was under a strong ride chasing six wide into the stretch but failed to follow through in the final quarter mile. EARL OF DASSEL , bumped at the break, lost ground four to five wide, made a mild run under a drive past the three eighths then weakened through the lane. THIRD WATCH , off the pace, was taken very wide soon into the stretch and gave way. ASCRIBE bobbled at the break, dropped far off the pace, saved ground into the stretch and was eased in the final furlong.
