HOMESTEAD , guided inward while being hustled to the front, drifted in a bit tightening foes approaching the first turn, cleared and set a rated pace just off the inside, turned away an outer threat from TASKER near the quarter pole, wandered well out in the course through the final furlong and held firm while kept alert. SILLY RABBIT had his rider lose his irons when checking sharply and bumping with an outer rival heading to the first turn, finally recovered entering the backstretch, stalked while firmly rated, edged up inside past the five sixteenths, bumped with TASKER when angling out soon into the stretch, regrouped and kept on gamely to the inside of that rival to narrowly get the place. TASKER bumped with SILLY RABBIT when put in a bit close by HOMESTEAD approaching the first turn, edged up around the first turn and stalked outside, moved under a hustling ride and threatened three wide nearing the lane, was bumped near the three sixteenths, regrouped and kept on with gritty effort to the wire. WORK HARD , off the pace, raced six wide in upper stretch, brushed with an inner foe and churned on. GREY BIGGSY , pinched back soon after the break, lost ground five wide, edged up into the far turn, chased five wide nearing the lane then brushed with an outer WORK HARD near mid stretch. CHRISTMAS SPIRIT , bumped at the break, moved up between foes leaving mid stretch then flattened out. ARMED N DANGEROUS saved ground, raced in range into the far turn, chased inside foes nearing mid stretch but came up empty. WRAP AND SEND steadied nearing first turn, settled off the pace, swung very wide for the drive but failed to menace. TATE'S WAR CRY , in close when bumped at the break, saved ground leaving the far turn and lacked a bid. TRIPLE SEC , four wide, edged up nearing the half, chased to upper stretch and faded. TELL 'EM I'M COMIN failed to menace. UNCLE GREY saved ground off the pace, eased out leaving the far turn but failed to respond. Following objections by the riders of SILLY RABBIT and TASKER, HOMESTEAD was disqualified from first and placed third for causing interference approaching the first turn.
