Footnotes
RYE DIGGITYDOG stalked the pace outside horses, circled the turn four wide, took command approaching the eighth pole and drove clear. PRETORIAN GOLD , checked in tight quarters entering the turn, waited for room in mid stretch, was taken to the rail near the sixteenth pole and closed gamely. BORLETTI (IRE) chased the early pace between horses, failed to keep up on the turn, was taken to the five path in mid stretch and rallied. TOUGH WORKOUT saved ground on the turn, dueled for the lead, moved to the two path in the late going and weakened. FREESTANDING , steadied in close quarters along the inner rail on the turn, lacked room in upper stretch then finished willingly between horses. KISSLING disputed the pace between horses to mid stretch then gave way. RENNIE , unhurried on the backstretch, circled the turn five wide and weakened.
