POST TIME , unhurried between foes early, responded to mild coaxing and cruised up near the five eighths and took aim of an embattled trio, eased out a bit into the far turn and bid three deep in hand, was confidently handled outside SHAFT'S BULLET as they emerged head to head leaving the three eighths, spurted clear when given his cue entering the lane, opened up soon after, was given a left handed ask in mid stretch then powered away while kept to strong hand urging to deep stretch. UNION FLEET settled off the pace while saving ground, edged up then angled out leaving the far turn, chased three wide in upper stretch then kept on willingly to the inside of FEELING WOOZY to save the place. FEELING WOOZY , taken to rate while saving ground, took closer order into the far turn, angled out with about three furlongs to go, pursued four wide in upper stretch and continued on with effort. SHAFT'S BULLET , three deep vying for command, moved to a slim lead leaving the far turn, dug in when confronted by the winner, stayed on willingly to mid stretch then faded. REGALO broke sharply and secured the inside, set the pace into the backstretch then was joined by outer foes past the three quarter pole, battled to about the five sixteenths then weakened. VANCE SCHOLARS prompted two wide around the first turn, moved up between runners with six furlongs remaining and vied, failed to keep pace under a ride near the three eighths, dropped back, had his heels clipped nearing the quarter pole and swung out in the lane. GOODAFTERNOONOSCAR drafted back off the pace, raced wide into the backstretch and retreated. BESTSUGARDADDYEVER , four wide around the first turn, faltered. BE BETTER , off a bit slow, settled off the pace, saved ground leaving the five sixteenths, clipped the heels of VANCE SCHOLARS soon after and lost his rider. There was a stewards' inquiry into the run nearing the stretch. No action was taken.
