AMITY ROAD broke in the air spotting the field a few lengths, regrouped then edged up in the clear past the five eighths, relaxed off the dueling leaders into the turn, angled out with about three eighths to go, circled four to five wide into the stretch, closed in under strong handling and took over from the embattled leaders in mid stretch, edged clear with about a sixteenth remaining then was fully extended to hold off an inner charging HOLY SYNCHRONICITY. HOLY SYNCHRONICITY bobbled at the break, recovered and was prominent between runners nearing the three quarter pole, eased back off the leaders heading to the turn, edged back up and was patiently handled two wide behind the leaders into the stretch, altered in when a seam developed along the inner rail nearing the eighth pole, finished up gamely but was unable to reel in the winner. PUDGE BOY PALACE had speed to dispute the early pace three wide and between rivals, emerged in a duel outside TOPS THE CHARTS around the far turn, was floated out a path battling on a slim lead into the lane, was headed by the winner nearing mid stretch then kept on with gritty effort to the wire. TOPS THE CHART broke a bit sluggishly then rushed up to the inside of three rivals to contest the early pace, sparred to the inside of PUDGE BOY PALACE into and around the turn, drifted out a path entering the lane then weakened through the final furlong. AFRAIDOFTHEBUNNY sped to an early lead then attended the pace four deep past the three quarter pole, tracked the duelers three wide past the three eighths then came up empty in the drive. JOE failed to get involved.
