Footnotes
CHEVY MAN , patiently rated along the inner rail to the stretch, was caught behind a wall of horses turning for home, swung to the five path in upper stretch, took command inside the eighth pole and drew clear while kept to his business. KORU stumbled badly leaving the starting gate, was taken outside horses entering the backstretch, circled the far turn four wide, gained a short lead in upper stretch and weakened. GREY BIGGSY , three wide the first turn, advanced in the three path between horses leaving the far turn, bid for the lead at the head of the stretch and faded inside the top pair. WORK HARD , a forward factor in the two path between horses leaving the backstretch, failed to keep pace on the turn, swung to the five path in upper stretch and lacked the necessary late effort. TATE'S WAR CRY , inside horses most of the race, failed to menace. ROYAL RENEGADE hopped at the break, steadied soon after the start and was not a factor. GLADSTONE set the pace along the rail to upper stretch and faltered. TEARS IN RAIN prompted the pace outside GLADSTONE and faltered.
