Footnotes
HOT BOSS secured the inside into the turn and stalked the embattled leaders, eased out into the stretch, sustained a grinding run under a drive, reeled in HOLY BRICK from her outside in deep stretch and forged ahead in the final yards. HOLY BRICK moved up from the outside and engaged the leader heading to the turn, sparred briefly then took over heading to the three eighths, shook clear into the stretch, widened the advantage under a drive past the three sixteenths, remained clear a sixteenth out, dug in when confronted in deep stretch, fought valiantly but just failed to hold. TEA ROSE came in after about a furlong forcing in a rival and tightening foes, straightened into the turn, circled five wide into the stretch and closed steadily. POZO , very rank leaving the gate and was away last, regrouped to save ground and commence a run leaving the far turn, continued progress along the inside in mid stretch then flattened out very late. MARMARA , away second last after an awkward break, was angled inside in the opening furlong, advanced towards the inner rail mid turn, eased out in upper stretch, continued with run past mid stretch then flattened out late. LASS SASSENACH was forced in by TEA ROSE after about a furlong then checked when bumping with a rival and in tight, recovered into the turn, came four wide for the drive, moved up inside the furlong grounds and kept on trying. GROSSE ILE sped to the front and dropped inside, took outer pressure into the turn, ceded the lead soon after, gave willing chase from the head of the lane past mid stretch then weakened. PRINCESS CLEMMIE , three wide around the turn, failed to menace. LEELINDA was taken up sharply after being bumped and forced inward in the opening furlong. THIRD TUESDAY came in early making contact with a rival, checked behind foes heading to the turn then came up empty. AUTHENTICATED , bumped early, was checked when in tight after about a furlong, angled well wide and failed to menace. MILLE MCCALL , loaded without her rider, moved up a bit three wide heading to the turn, chased briefly then gave way. Following an objection by the rider of LASS SASSENACH, TEA ROSE was disqualified from third and placed six for causing interference through the backstretch run. An objection by the rider of LASS SASSENACH against the winner alleging interference in the opening furlong was not allowed.
