BARZINI , away last when breaking outward, steadied when pinched a stride or two later, regrouped and dropped inside, awaited room mid turn, eased out with progress leaving the quarter pole, closed sharply between rivals approaching the sixteenth marker, took over and surged clear. WHERE'S RAY stalked in the clear, raced about three wide into the lane, edged up on his left lead inside the eighth pole, switched over to his correct lead late and finished gamely to earn the place. GREAT IDEA , off the pace while saving ground, worked well out in the course for the final three sixteenths and rallied. SWILL took over soon after the break and along the inside, handled some outer pressure before clearing into the turn, widened through solid fractions into the stretch, clung to the advantage heading to the sixteenth pole then weakened very late. BACKNTHEWOODS chased between foes, shifted in towards the rail through the final furlong and closed steadily. WILD WEST JUSTICE , three deep with the early pace, stalked around the turn, moved up a bit near mid stretch, failed to sustain past the sixteenth pole and faded. STORMY FLIGHT drafted back off the pace and off the inside, angled six wide for the drive and offered a mild run. CAP'N DUSTY , sluggish away, was outrun. CURAHEE , three wide with early pursuit, failed to kick on past the three eighths and weakened. COAST ALONG pressed outside SWILL early on, dropped in for the run around the turn, lacked a kick soon into the lane and tired.
