BILL OF RIGHTS stalked the pace, ranged up three wide leaving the turn, bid for the lead outside FIGHTERTOWN near the eighth pole, drifted in bumping with that one near the sixteenth pole then drove clear. FIGHTERTOWN set the pace along the inner rail, was well clear leaving the turn, remained along the rail in the stretch, drifted out bumping with the winner near the sixteenth pole and gave way grudgingly. ALVY lacked speed, swung out in upper stretch and passed tired horses. FIVEFIVE SIX CHAMP chased the pace two wide to the stretch then gave way. BODE'S MAKER stayed along the inner rail on the turn and was always outrun. There was a stewards' inquiry concerning the stretch but no action was taken.
