Footnotes
SPEEDY ALEX , rated along the inner rail down the backstretch, saved ground on the turn, found room inside horses to gain a short lead in mid stretch, battled the final furlong and prevailed. FURIOUS GEORGE stalked the pace outside HEAD OF THE CLASS, challenged for the lead in mid stretch then fought it gamely with the winner. HEAD OF THE CLASS sped to the early lead, set the pace near the rail on the turn, drifted out in upper stretch and weakened the final furlong. RAILROAD INN lacked speed, swung to the five path entering the stretch and passed tired foes. MR ON HIGH , bumped by JOSE CANT SAY at the break, bumped with DAD JOKE soon after the start, moved to the inner rail turning for home and flattened out. DAD JOKE bumped with MR ON HIGH soon after the break, swung to the four path leaving the turn and lacked a rally. JOSE CAN'T SAY bumped MR ON HIGH when bearing out at the start and dropped back on the turn.
