SUBROGATE stalked the pace, ranged up three deep leaving the turn, remained on his left through the stretch, lugged in near the sixteenth pole, was under brisk urging, took the lead approaching the finish and drove clear. CELTIC CONTENDER stumbled leaving the starting gate, sprinted to the early lead, remained along the inner rail controlling the pace, was clear in mid stretch and gave way grudgingly. CARAMEL CHIP lacked speed, stayed along the inner rail on the turn and in upper stretch, moved to the two path in mid stretch and was caught in tight quarters near the sixteenth pole. DEAN DELIVERS , a forward factor in the two path around the turn, chased the pace and gave way.
