DO IT FOR MICHAEL , bumped at the break, quickly recovered and sped to the front, briefly ceded to an outer foe near the half, regained command into the turn and was nicely handled while dealing with outer pressure, spurted clear after being shaken up into the stretch then steadily pulled away while ridden out. BACKNTHEWOODS , bumped at the start, was sent up between runners and poked a head in front nearing the half mile marker, gave back to the advantage but stayed on to duel around the turn, failed to quicken with the winner soon into the lane but stayed on willingly to be well clear for the place. MILES AHEAD , brushed at the start, stalked three wide, was pushed along mid turn, faded and narrowly saved the show. ARTILLERY GUNNAR drifted in and brushed with a foe leaving the gate, corrected and was hung out five wide outside runners pursuing the leaders, remained very wide and failed to generate a run. LADDIE DANCE broke inward bumping BACKNTHEWOODS, corrected and was guided inward, chased mid turn but lacked a rally. WITHOUT PRETENCE leaned in and hit the gate, steadied when in close soon after, lost ground four wide past the five sixteenths and came up empty. DAUFUSKIE ISLAND , brushed at the start, gave early chase four wide between runners, was unable to quicken leaving the three eighths and retreated.
