Footnotes
KOHOUTEK , unruly behind the gate, came away forwardly then rated back off the leaders heading to the turn, sat patiently stalking mid turn, worked between runners leaving the three sixteenths, shifted in and forged to command a sixteenth out, kicked clear then held firm under a drive. CALL ME A CAB , jostled at the break, regrouped and moved up three to four wide into the turn, took closer order past the three eighths, swung extremely wide into the lane, straightened away and closed gamely. ITALIANO KID stalked the pace off the inside, bid between foes mid turn, spurted clear past the three sixteenths, ceded to the inner charging winner near the sixteenths pole and faded. BAND TOUR , bumped at the break, recovered and saved ground, moved up some into the lane, angled out then edged up behind foes near mid stretch, altered back in and kept on with effort. DAVE THE GREAT sped clear early, got out a few paths leaving the far turn then was engaged from both sides, vied between runners into the lane then faded late. WAR THUNDER , bumped at the start, was hard used to contention while well wide, ranged up six wide mid turn, bid outside rivals nearing the lane, chased to mid stretch then faded. MAXIMUS THUNDER , off the pace, was forced out entering the turn and failed to menace. FIERY DEBUT , off the pace, steadied when bothered by a troubled rival into the turn, regrouped but failed to mount a serious run. TOM S came in at the break and bumped a foe, corrected and stalked, angled in when the leader drifted then bid mid turn, sparred inside foes into the stretch, failed to go on past the three sixteenths and weakened. DIVINE FUTURE , unruly behind the gate, saved ground, steadied entering the turn then retreated.
