Footnotes
GOLDEN SAND , sandwiched at the break, found himself well off the lead after recovering then settled four to five wide, unleashed a sharp five wide run while under confident handling past the three eighths, forged clear into the lane, opened up under a solid drive in mid stretch then held firm while kept alert. HARD FREEZE drifted in a bit at the break, corrected and rated forwardly while three wide, took closer order then bid three deep past the three eighths, failed t match strides with the outer winner soon into the lane but kept on with good effort to be well clear of the rest. GOLDEN KID came in at the break bumping the winner, straightened and settled off the pace while four wide, made four wide progress into the stretch, chased past the furlong grounds then flattened out. PENCIL ME IN prompted the pace outside the leader, bid between foes nearing the five sixteenths, failed to kick on nearing mid stretch and weakened. PIPPIN THE WARRIOR broke slowly, rushed up soon after then checked when attempting to get out, continued tough to handle through the backstretch and run into the turn, shifted out for the drive and gave way. OUR HAM SANDWICH came out a the break and bumped with the winner, saved ground early then dropped back around the turn. EL PAPACITO sped clear early, set the pace towards the inside, met outer bids past the three eighths, failed to deny and tired leaving the quarter pole.
