LUCA MACHINE stalked three wide, shifted out and closed in under pressure, took over from the leader heading to the sixteenth pole, briefly shook clear, drifted out some late and dug in under a drive. STANZA , off slowly, rated toward the inside and behind rivals into the turn, worked outward a few paths entering the lane, edged up nearing the furlong grounds, altered out to about the seven path and closed gamely. DANNER drafted back off the early pace while three to four wide, gathered some momentum approaching the stretch, shifted five to six wide, closed in to the inside of STANZA in deep stretch then steadied when in a bit close through the final yards. KATMANDU chased the pace off the rail, came three wide for the drive, worked between rivals, shifted in a bit then kept on willingly inside runners. CHIMNEY SWEEP , bumped at the break, vied inside through the opening three sixteenths, rated back off the leader leaving the far turn, eased out into the lane, moved up to take command in upper stretch, shook clear, was collared in mid stretch then weakened very late. STAR ATLAS drifted in early, raced off the pace, came four wide for the drive, drifted in near the three sixteenths, came back out then finished well between foes. LONG STRAW saved ground, eased out in upper stretch, made a run between foes, worked back inward and flattened out. SERENDIPITYMONDAY , between rivals mid turn, weakened. THUNDER CRY , bumped at the break, rushed up between foes then dueled, shook clear leaving the far turn, was taken on in upper stretch and weakened. BALD CYPRESS was outrun. Objections by the riders of DANNER and STANZA against the winner alleging interference in deep stretch were not allowed
