Footnotes
METALLICAN , bumped by MR GERSON leaving the starting gate, stalked the pace three deep around the turn, bid for the lead outside JOKE TELLER near the sixteenth pole and was under strong urging in the drive. JOKE TELLER showed speed along the inner while battling with MR GERSON for three furlongs, went clear in upper stretch and gave way grudgingly. FUTILE GESTURE raced forwardly in the two path inside horses and failed to rally in an even performance. ALL NESSED UP , unhurried down the backstretch, swung to the six path in upper stretch, raced outside rivals and passed tired ones. WORRYABOUTYOURSELF , four wide on the turn, lacked a rally. IT'S PRIME TIME hugged the inner rail on the turn and was not a factor. FISSION lacked speed, moved to the four path in mid stretch and failed to rally. MR GERSON bumped the winner when bearing in at the start, rushed up outside horses, dueled outside JOKE TELLER on the turn and faltered.
