SET THE STAGE stalked the early pace while rank under a tight hold along the backstretch run then loomed to challenge on the turn and took over the lead into the stretch then was kept to task through the stretch run and held sway on the wire. PRETTY VIOLENT got away alertly and set a slow pace with a rail trip before being headed and passed on the turn then was all out in the stretch to fight back but was outfinished at the wire.
