GOING UP chased the early pace two wide, then moved out to be three wide and tipped out five wide leaving the turn to have aim and make a bid to be clear by the furlong marker, then remained clear to the wire to prove best under a drive. VAMOS VIEJO was bumped at the break, settled along the inside, swung out five wide leaving the turn and finished well but could not get to the winner while clearly second best. GRATEFUL BRED was taken back early on the inside, came three wide off the bend and then angled out in the drive and rallied late to gain the show award. BARZINI stalked the early pace while being hard to handle and unsettled, made a bid between rivals to vie for command off the bend, then came in nearing the three sixteenths and weakened. INEVTABL CONECTION stalked the pace from the outside, made a three to four wide bid leaving the turn to vie for command but weakened in the final furlong. CLOUDY was reserved early, three wide by the quarter pole and had no rally. BOSS IS A PAL was bumped at the break, chased the pace and made a bid on the inside leaving the turn, then had to check nearing the three sixteenths when being shut off losing all chance. PSYCHEDELIC SHACK was bumped at the break, then set the pace on the inside, two wide off the bend and then vied for command inside a duo, then was bumped by BARZINI nearing the three sixteenths, then was empty for the final furlong. STEWARDS INQUIRY concerning the run in the stretch, after reviewing the replays the STEWARDS DISQUALIFIED BARZINI from fourth and placed him last for interference around the three sixteenths marker.
