KING COVEE , rated behind horses the first turn, angled outside on the backstretch, raced wide the far turn, advanced between horses in mid stretch, closed outside PREACHA MEYERS, took the lead late and drove clear. PREACHA MEYERS , bumped, pinched back and forced out by DETERRENT leaving the starting gate, advanced four deep on the far turn, gained a short lead in upper stretch, remained on his left lead and gave way grudgingly. DETERRENT bumped PREACHA MEYERS when bearing out at the start, chased the pace outside MYCROFT, gained a short lead leaving the far turn and weakened the final furlong. ROBERT'S MOON , bumped by PREACHA MEYERS at the start, stayed four wide both turns, chased the pace and faded. BRIGHTY , wide the first turn, raced outside horses in the stretch and passed tired ones. LIAM'S THE GREAT raced in mid pack and failed to rally. PUNXSUTAWNEY PHIL stayed along the inner rail and was blocked in mid stretch. LATIN REBEL hugged the inner rail stalking the pace and weakened. JHIRSCH , outrun, was very wide turning for home. MYCROFT set the pace along the inner rail, lost the lad turning for home and dropped back the final furlong.
