Footnotes
BERNIE THE STAR assumed a clear, early lead while kept well off the rail down the backstretch, stayed in the two path on the turn, drifted to the inner rail in mid stretch and was kept to his business in the drive. BALD CYPRESS saved ground around the turn, hugged the inner rail in the stretch and rallied. BODYBUILDER chased the pace from the three path around the turn and weakened. SHOWPIECE , four deep around the turn, lacked a rally. BROTHER BOBO bobbled slightly leaving the starting gate, remained along the inner rail on the turn, drifted to the two path at the head of the stretch and gave way.
