Footnotes
STRAIGHT TO WATER , under rating saving ground and tracking a spirited duel, edged up in hand nearing the quarter pole, shifted out four wide into the stretch, rolled past inner foes nearing the furlong grounds then drew away while steadily hand ridden. ARTIST MARK went on the attack soon after the break and joined WHO SAYS SO from his outside, sparred into and around the turn, was under a hustling ride holding a slim lead into the stretch, failed to deny the winner's charge but kept on gamely for the place. HALF A LEAGUE , perched three wide early off the embattled leaders, dropped back a bit while between runners entering the turn, shifted out a bit for the drive and churned on. WHO SAYS SO showed in front soon after the break, secured the inside then was taken on by ARTIST MARK exiting the chute, dueled to upper stretch then gave way grudgingly in the final seventy yards. MUTHABIR , sluggish from the gate, raced three to four wide and failed to generate a serious run. BLO BY'EM broke a step slow, saved ground and faded.
