Footnotes
FREEZE THE FIRE was rated back from between rivals soon after the break, settled in the clear and off of a contested pace, circled four wide making progress into the lane, ranged up under a drive to engage BACKNTHEWOODS in mid stretch, wrested command soon after, spurted clear then dug in gamely to deny B WEST. B WEST drafted well back after an alert beginning, saved ground leaving the three eighths, angled six wide to advance inside a rival into the lane, straightened away and closed well. HELDISH lost ground five wide to mid turn, angled seven wide with some steam into the lane then churned on to nab the show. BACKNTHEWOODS was hard used vying outside BORRACHO, took over past the five sixteenths, shook clear under a drive in upper stretch, failed to contain the winner leaving mid stretch then gave way grudgingly. WOODLINE , well placed three wide stalking the heated battle up front, remained three wide and was put to pressure in upper stretch, stayed on with interest to the sixteenth pole then faded. BROTHER CONWAY rated back off the leaders after about a furlong, saved ground leaving the far turn and was in the clear past the three eighths, gained while angling out into the stretch, chased behind foes leaving the three sixteenths, failed to kick on and weakened late. ONE WAY FARRIOR , sluggish from the gate, lagged back, saved ground into and through the lane but failed to muster up a solid kick. BORRACHO broke slowly, regrouped and was rushed up to the inside of BACKNTHEWOODS, sparred into and around the turn, failed to kick on leaving the three sixteenths and weakened.
