SPIKEZONE broke inward and lightly brushed with PRINCE OF JERICHO, corrected and took command, set a rated pace towards the inside, was guided out to about the three path soon after meeting an outer bid by that rival, spurted clear after being set down, kept on under right handed asks leaving the furlong grounds and proved resolute to the wire. PRINCE OF JERICHO , off a bit slow after breaking a touch outward and brushing with the winner, regrouped and was taken wide to settle, commenced a run when given his cue exiting the far turn, boldly ranged up four wide to engage SPIKEZONE after a half mile, could not quite quicken with that one in upper stretch, stayed on to give valiant pursuit and was well clear of the rest. FIVE DREAMS prompted the pace three wide, was under pressure into the stretch but failed to generate a serious run. SEVEN'S ELEVEN broke outward, tracked two wide early on, shifted in past the five sixteenths, lacked a response in upper stretch and faded.
