Footnotes
CURLENE'S SPIRIT chased the pace three wide on the turn, secured command approaching the stretch and drew off under energetic encouragement. STYLISH GEM advanced four deep on the turn, challenged the winner at the head of the stretch, drifted out a bit in mid stretch and held the place. HALF A DECK hugged the inner rail mid way on the turn, moved to the three path entering the stretch and rallied mildly. BACK WALL BANDIT lacked speed, raced in the two path mid way on the turn, swung to the six path entering the stretch and flattened out. FLYING PERFECTION , outrun, passed tired horses. EIMEAR , lightly bumped by the winner at the start, prompted the pace outside PONEY ISLAND and gave way. SALTY ONE , four deep on the turn, was fanned to the seven path in upper stretch and weakened. PONEY ISLAND sped to the front, hugged the inner rail and faltered in the drive.
