Footnotes
THE BULLION BOMBER (IRE) displayed sharp early speed and cleared, set a rated pace towards the inside, responded when asked in upper stretch, wandered outward a bit before being corrected, kept on under solid handling inside the sixteenth pole and just lasted. COLLABORATE edged up four wide outside rivals heading to the half mile marker, was under a hustling ride to maintain position past the five sixteenths, entered the stretch four wide and made a grinding run through the final furlong to just miss. SYNONYM , a bit fractious in the paddock, prompted the pace three wide outside the leader, was pushed along past the five sixteenths, stayed on to give hard chase outside a rival leaving the eighth pole then continued with a steady run between horses to bridge the gap. QUINCANNON , two wide between rivals with pursuit, dropped in around the turn, edged up to the inside of horses near mid stretch, came out some late then was in a bit close when gaining at the wire. RUNNING RIVER saved ground within range, steadied when in a bit close mid turn, regrouped and stayed inside then churned on with effort. SUMO settled well off the inside, continued about four wide for the drive and offered a mild rally. HARD SPUN FANTASY , three wide leaving the far turn, worked between horses into the stretch, eased out and kept on with effort. VESELSKY , off the pace, swung six wide with some run nearing the lane then kept on with a mild response. DR. DOYLE was sent up three wide and between runners nearing the half mile marker, chased, failed to keep pace nearing the lane, weakened and shifted out through the drive.
